Wall Hanging from Newspaper

After a long break I'm coming up with a news paper craft. It is an easy one but bit time consuming.

 

These are paper rolls glued together. we can join it to form any shape and use it as a wall hanging. After making rolls apply bright colors then glue to form circles,diamonds...

 

 

I used it as a door hanging. You can have variety of crafts using these paper rolls. Check it out and try when you are ready to do something creative.

 

Woven Paper Heart Basket

This is a woven paper basket. In some countries it is used to decorate Christmas trees. It is a gift bag to present candies for kids. Of course the woven basket is an easy craft to make with minimum materials.

 

It looks more beautiful if we do it with two contrasting colors. I used it to store my tiny notes, spoons and forks.

 

Next time if you want to gift any small things, try this handmade basket and see your loved ones cute smile.

Table Calendar

This is my simple attempt to a make a calendar of my own. I have made the stand with a cardboard and twelve sheets of color papers for the calendar.

You can place it anywhere,like on the table or on the top of a corner stand. I have attached four small flowers made of quilled circle and petals with sequins. The orange Kusudama flower looks pretty, isn't it?

Ribbon Crafts

Happy New Year Buddies!!

Today i'm introducing you some ribbon crafts.First one is a bookmark which looks like a fish.This is a simple one to make.

Next one is a necklace.Some beads are attached to this.It can be used as bracelet also.

Third one is a flower. In my previous post i have made a rose out of it.This time it is a different one.

Last one is a hair bow. This bow can be attached to a hair clip or a hair band.

Magazine Paper Vase

Here i'm going to introduce another paper craft. ie, paper vase made out of magazine papers. Paper weaving is used to make this vase.

This can be used as a pen stand and  a flower vase.

It is a pair of pink roses made out of satin ribbon.See the multiple use of a single vase, that too made without any cost.

Origami Heart Wreath

This heart wreath made using the triangular units. A total of 48 units have been used for this purpose. 24 white and 24 blue units.

 

Triangular units are inserted one after the other in a linear fashion alternating between the two colors chosen. First I made two curves of 24 units each and finally joined these two curves together to form a heart.

 

Quilled & Beads Jewelley II

Here comes the next set of jewellery with paper and beads.

It is a bracelet of paper beads. Multi colours of papers are used to make the beads.

First one is a beaded earring. black and red bicone beads are used for this. Second one is a quilled jhumka with golden beads.

This is a pair of anklets made out of paper beads. How is the colour combination?

It is a jewellery set of earrings and bracelet. First one is a quilled set and second one is a beads set.

Origami Poinsettia Flowers

Hi, Today i'm presenting you a combo of origami and quilling. I have made poinsettia flowers, it is also known as x'mas flowers.

The flower basket is a quilled one. I have used quilled semicircles for the basket. The origami red flowers and green leaves in black background makes it more beautiful.

Paper Wreath & Basket

Going back to paper crafts. I have made a paper wreath. Since it resembles the dahlia flower, it is called Dahlia wreath. I made it using news papers. 

First we have to make the paper cones of different lengths and arrange it accordingly. I gave black and red colours to alternate layers. 

This is a basket made from newspapers. Here paper weaving is used for making it. Finally  coloured with red shade. Hope you liked this post too.

Quilled Art

Here is another frame with quilled flowers and butterflies. Two colors of flowers and bud used in this. Two awesome butterflies made the scene more colorful.

These are simple flowers with five petals. Hope you liked it. Let me know your suggestions.

Quilled Flowers

This is a quilling work of mine. There are three types of flowers used here. They are Teary loops, Husking and Fringed flowers.

 

The first two types are made using comb. A Normal hair comb is used for it.Post your opinion about this..

I have moved to another interesting use of papers. ie,making jewellery out of paper. Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs .I have tried some earrings with it.
